Memorial Weekend

We were able to take advantage of the long Memorial weekend. Us and a couple of friends (Lauren, Tyler, Anson, and Julia) all escaped down to St. George. Julia's grandparents have a condo in Santa Clara that they let us borrow for the weekend. Its a 3 bedroom, 2 bath and super nice. We didn't get there tell after midnight on Friday. I was so tired and loony that I crashed almost immediately. We spent most of our time just hanging out at the pool/hot tub or staying up late watching movies or playing cards. We had a fun time playing some intense ping pong games in the club house. I gotta say Ben is pretty good and found myself on the floor a lot. Sunday we went for a short hike up Snow Canyon. It ended up being about 3 1/2 miles, we definitely ended up feeling it in our legs the next day.

The ride home took a little longer then we had planned. Lauren ended up getting sick so we took the trip home little by little. We pulled up to our house around midnight. But all in all we had tons of fun. I only wished that we could have stayed longer or that the weekend didn't go by so fast.

Home Sweet Home

We closed on April 21st and moved in right away. My parents and my brother, Mike were able to come up the next day to help us move in. We loaded up my parents truck and trailor, and my car twice. Then my in-laws car and my brother in-laws truck as well. I think we have a ton of stuff for just being newly married. Thanks everyone for helping us move. We couldnt have done it without you. Moving was alot of work, but I am so happy that we have a house of our very own now. I love it!
4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, 2 car garage, fire place, fenced in back yard, ect. Its the perfect size for us and room for our family to grow as well. :) Our house is also a lot closer to work for both of us. There is still alot of work that we need to do to fix it up a bit, but we are getting there. And I have to say it has been fun being able to work on things together. The best part is, its our house so we can do whatever we want.

New Job

New job and so far so good. I just finished hair school at the end of September and started working at Salon On The Ave. at the end of October. We just had our grand opening and a ribbon cutting with the mayor and all the important Provo people. It was tons of fun. The best part about this job is I get to come and go as I please and I get to work with some of the best people I know.

Amanda's Birthday

Happy Birthday To Me!! This year for my birthday Ben took me out to eat at a fancy restaurant. I had no idea where we were going but we started to head up to Salt Lake and we ended up at the Temple. We walked around Temple Square for a little bit and through the visitor center. Then we went into one of the buildings and headed up the the 10th floor. Ben made a reservation for our to eat at the roof. It was tons of fun and the food was way good. The view was the best part we were eye level with the temple. Oh and the pianist that was playing there even played me the Happy Birthday song. Best day ever.

Bittersweet Tickets

Last night we got some awesome tickets to the BYU game right at the last min. It was pretty cold but we had fun anyways. Greats seats to watch the sucky game in.

Bad News

About two weeks ago we went down to Lake Powell for our annual family vacation. 5 days of basking in the sun. The weather was perfect and we all had tons of fun swimming, tubing, knee boarding, going for boat rides, playing cards, and just spending time with each other. Unfortunately on the way home we stopped to change the tire on the boat trailer so i got out and took some pictures, but i forgot that i had left my camera out on the back of the car. We started driving away and pretty soon the camera went flying. We went back and found it in pieces but couldn't find the memory card. So that means no pictures of the Lake and anything else that might come up. Luckily Ben has one too.....it just isn't as good as mine was and i don't really like it as much, but i guess it will have to do :(
